Involucrin (Inv, Invo, IVL) (AP)
Product Specifications
Gene Name
[IVL]
NCBI Gene ID
3713
Reactivity
Canine, Human, Porcine
Storage Conditions
May be stored at 4 degree C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degree C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Freezing alkaline phosphatase conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity.
Specificity
Recognizes human Involucrin. Epitope: codon 421-568 of human Involucrin at ~66-170kD. Species Crossreactivity: Gorilla, Owl monkey, Porcine, and Canine. Does not react with mouse. In Western Blot of cultured human keratinocytes, reacts with a 120kD protein. It stains the involucrin in a variety of sizes: 170kD in MCF-7 cells, a doublet of ~115kD and 150kD in gorilla and owl monkey, 66kD in canine and a doublet of 105kD in porcine.
