Cellooctaose is an oligosaccharide, consisting of eight glucose residues. Cellooctaose is a low-cost polysaccharides in fermentation to hold on Lactococcus lactis recombinant strain growth. Cellooctaose is the substrate of beta-glucosidase (E.C. 3.2.1.21) [1][2].
