SBI-0640726 is an eIF4G1 inhibitor with antiproliferative activity in melanoma. SBI-0640726 disrupts the eIF4F translation initiation complex by inhibiting AKT and NF-kB signaling pathways. SBI-0640726 inhibits the growth of NRAS and BRAF mutant melanoma in vitro[1].
