Background
Deguelin is a rotenoid, and a naturally occurring insecticide. Deguelin displays anti-cancer activity by inhibiting the growth of pre-cancerous and cancerous cells (1). High doses may have negative effects on the heart, lungs and nerves however. Deguelin has also been shown to have a correlation with Parkinson's disease in rats (2).
