WNK1 Antibody (pSer382) : Biotin

WNK1 (With No Lysine [K] Kinase 1), particularly in its phosphorylated form at serine 382 (pSer382), plays a central role in regulating neuronal ion transport and cellular volume—processes that are critically disrupted in neurodegenerative diseases. As a master kinase, WNK1 activates downstream effectors such as SPAK and OSR1, which control the activity of cation-chloride cotransporters like NKCC1 and KCC2. These transporters are essential for maintaining chloride balance, synaptic inhibition, and overall neuronal excitability. In the brain, WNK1 (pSer382) responds to osmotic stress and changes in intracellular chloride levels, initiating signaling pathways that influence neuron survival, glial cell function, and cerebrospinal fluid regulation. Highly expressed in the testis, heart, kidney and skeletal muscle. Isoform 3 is kidney-specific and specifically expressed in the distal convoluted tubule (DCT) and connecting tubule (CNT) of the nephron.

A 1:250 dilution of SPC-1097 was sufficient for detection of WNK1 (pSer382) in 10 µg of HeLa cell lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
