NuaK1 Antibody (pThr211) : ATTO 488

NUAK1 is a serine/threonine kinase involved in cellular stress responses, metabolism, and survival. Phosphorylation at threonine 211 (pThr211) is essential for its activation and downstream signaling. In the nervous system, NUAK1 regulates axonal growth, neuronal polarity, and resistance to metabolic stress. Recent studies have implicated NUAK1 in neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, particularly through its role in suppressing apoptosis and modulating mitochondrial function. NUAK1 phosphorylates ATM and CASP6, thereby influencing DNA damage responses and apoptotic pathways. Its activity is also linked to glucose metabolism and may affect neuronal energy homeostasis under stress conditions. Given its regulatory role in neuronal survival and stress adaptation, NUAK1 (pThr211) is emerging as a potential biomarker and therapeutic target in neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease and ALS.

A 1:250 dilution of SPC-1036 was sufficient for detection of NuaK1 (pThr211) in 10 µg of mouse brain lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using goat anti-rabbit IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
