LRP1 Antibody: ATTO 488

Rabbit Anti-Human LRP-1 Polyclonal

Product Specifications

Background

LRP1 (Low-Density Lipoprotein Receptor-Related Protein 1) is a multifunctional endocytic receptor involved in lipid metabolism, protease clearance, and cell signaling. In the brain, LRP1 regulates amyloid-beta clearance, synaptic plasticity, and blood-brain barrier integrity. Dysregulation of LRP1 is associated with Alzheimer’s disease, where impaired Aβ clearance contributes to plaque accumulation and neurotoxicity. LRP1 also modulates neuroinflammatory responses and interacts with key signaling pathways, including Wnt and TGF-β. Its broad functional repertoire and role in maintaining neural homeostasis make LRP1 a critical target in neurodegenerative disease research and therapeutic development.
