sTREM-1 (Human) ELISA Kit

The triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells-1 (TREM-1) is a type I transmembrane immune receptor that belongs to the TREM family of protein receptors. It is expressed on neutrophils and mature macrophages/monocytes. TREM-1 plays a significant role in the amplification of inflammation and activation of antigen-presenting cells (APC). A soluble form of TREM-1 (sTREM-1) is found in the plasma and is thought to arise from the proteolytic cleavage of membrane-associated TREM-1 by metalloproteinases (MMPs). Increased levels of sTREM-1 are observed during infection and inflammatory diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, renal IR. Therefore, sTREM-1 is a promising serological biomarker for these diseases. BioVision’s sTREM-1 (Human) ELISA kit is based on the Sandwich principle to quantitatively measure the concentration of sTREM-1 in human serum, plasma, and other biological fluids. Test samples, Standards, and Biotinylated Detection antibody are added to the wells pre-coated with capture antibody and then washed with Wash Buffer. The HRP-Streptavidin is added and any unattached conjugates are washed off using Wash Buffer. The HRP enzymatic reaction is detected by the addition of TMB-substrate.
