Human secretory IgA

Confirmed by immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony). Not less than 98% as determined by agar-gel electrophoresis, quantitative densitometry immunoelectrophoresis and double radial immunodiffusion (Ouchterlony). The ratio of IgA subclasses IgA1 and IgA2 has been determined and found to be 60/40. This secretory IgA contains J chain and secretory component. The product contains a trace of non-Ig protein.

Purified Human secretory IgA may be used as a reference antigen, calibrator, coating protein and blocking agent in a variety of immunoassays including immunodiffusion, immunoelectrophoresis, ELISA, Western blotting, dot-immuno-binding assays (DIBA), haemagglutination, and cell-binding assays.
