NFIB / NF1B2 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody [JE35-21]
Enables DNA-binding transcription activator activity, RNA polymerase II-specific; RNA polymerase II cis-regulatory region sequence-specific DNA binding activity; and transcription regulator inhibitor activity. Involved in brain development; negative regulation of DNA binding activity; and regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Located in fibrillar center and nucleoplasm. Transcriptional activator of GFAP, essential for proper brain development. Recognizes and binds the palindromic sequence 5'-TTGGCNNNNNGCCAA-3' present in viral and cellular promoters and in the origin of replication of adenovirus type. These proteins are individually capable of activating transcription and replication.
