Mouse Tumor necrosis factor-like ligand 1 (TL1) ELISA Kit

The protein encoded by TNFSF15 is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This protein is abundantly expressed in endothelial cells, but is not expressed in either B or T cells. The expression of this protein is inducible by TNF and IL-1 alpha. This cytokine is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF25 and decoy receptor TNFRSF21/DR6. It can activate NF-kappaB and MAP kinases, and acts as an autocrine factor to induce apoptosis in endothelial cells. This cytokine is also found to inhibit endothelial cell proliferation, and thus may function as an angiogenesis inhibitor. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for TNFSF15.

Mouse Tumor necrosis factor-like ligand 1 (TL1) ELISA Kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Mouse TNFSF15. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Mouse TNFSF15 and analogues was observed.

This Mouse Tumor necrosis factor-like ligand 1 (TL1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TNFSF15 in samples. An antibody specific for TNFSF15 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTNFSF15 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TNFSF15 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TNFSF15 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
