Background

PEAR1 (Platelet Endothelial Aggregation Receptor 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with PEAR1 include Sticky Platelet Syndrome. Among its related pathways are Hematopoietic Stem Cell Differentiation Pathways and Lineage-specific Markers. An important paralog of this gene is MEGF10. When overexpressed, reduces the number of both early and late non-adherent myeloid progenitor cells. PEAR1 is a platelet receptor that signals upon the formation of platelet-platelet contacts independent of platelet activation and secondary to platelet aggregation.
