Background

CENPC (Centromere Protein C) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with CENPC include Limited Scleroderma and Connective Tissue Disease. The protein is required for maintaining proper kinetochore size and a timely transition to anaphase. A putative pseudogene exists on chromosome 12.
