Oleoyl ethanolamide (OEA) is an analog of the endocannabinoid Anandamide (N-arachidonoylethanolamine; AEA) found in brain tissue. OEA is an endogenous, potent agonist for PPARα, exhibiting an EC₅₀ value of 120 nM in a transactivation assay.
