Muramyl dipeptide is a synthetic immunoreactive peptide that activates NOD2 receptors. Induces polarization of proinflammatory Ly6Chigh into Ly6Clow patrolling monocytes. Also inhibits HIV replication in CD4⁺ H9 lymphocytes.
