Butenafine hydrochloride

Butenafine is a potent antifungal agent that has broad-spectrum activity against 87 strains of dermatophytes. Butenafine works by inhibiting the synthesis of sterols by inhibiting squalene epoxidase, an enzyme responsible for the creation of sterols needed in fungal cell membranes.
