Xenoclauxin is a secondary metabolite isolated from certain species of the Penicillium genus, which exhibits an inhibitory effect on the proliferation of tumor cells. Xenoclauxin affects cellular energy metabolism, particularly by inhibiting ATP synthesis in the mitochondria. Xenoclauxin can be used for anti-tumor research[1].
