5-(and-6)-Carboxyfluorescein
As a pH indicator, 5-(and-6)-carboxyfluorescein can be employed. Another application for carboxyfluorescein is as a tracer dye. The dye can be introduced into cells by microinjection or scrape loading and is membrane-impermeant.
