Vatanidipine (Watanidipine) hydrochloride is an orally active dihydropyridine (DHP) -type calcium channel blocker and a useful antihypertensive agent. Vatanidipine hydrochloride shows vasodilatory effects and also suppresses noradrenaline release from sympathetic nerve endings[1][2].
