L-Uridine is an enantiomer of the normal RNA constituent D-uridine. L-Uridine can be isolated from the Polyporaceae fungus Poria cocos (Schw.) . L-uridine acts as a phosphate acceptor for nucleoside phosphotransferases[1][2].
