GRIK2 is an ionotropic glutamate receptor that plays an important role in central nervous system synapses, responding to L-glutamate as an excitatory neurotransmitter. Upon binding of L-glutamate, GRIK2 undergoes a conformational change that opens cation channels that convert chemical signals into electrical impulses. GRIK2 Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc) is the recombinant human-derived GRIK2 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.
