Dimethyl succinate

Dimethyl succinate is a bio-based ester utilized in manufacturing variety of chemicals, including food additives, fragrances, pharmaceuticals, and biodegradable plastics. It is primarily synthesized through the esterification of succinic acid but can also be derived from renewable biomass sources such as carbohydrates. It also plays a key role in producing 1,4-butanediol and poly (butylene succinate), supporting sustainable chemical manufacturing.
