It acts as an anti-mitotic and anti-microtubule agent and disrupts microtubule disassembly. It inhibits the binding of MAPs 1 and 2 to taxol-stabilized microtubules, hinders microtubule assembly, and promotes the disassembly of MAP-2-associated microtubules.
