Baxdrostat (CIN-107) is a selective and potent inhibitor of aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2), a rate-limiting enzyme in the pathway of aldosterone synthesis, with the potential to treat resistant hypertension. It also inhibits the function of multidrug and toxin extrusion 1 (MATE1) and MATE2-K with IC50 values of 1.34 μM and 2.67 μM, respectively.
