DPBS (Dulbecco’s Phosphate-Buffered Saline) is a balanced salt solution used in a variety of cell culture applications, such as washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissues, diluting cells for counting, and preparing reagents. DPBS is formulated without calcium and magnesium, making it suitable for rinsing chelators from the culture prior to cell dissociation. A variety of DPBS and PBS formulations are available to support different cell culture workflows.
