Anti-Histone H4 tetra acetyl Antibody
Histone H4 is one of the core components of the nucleosome, the basic building block of chromatin. Acetylation of histones is linked to a number of specific processes including transcriptional regulation and genomic organization.

Storage Conditions
This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Expiration date is one (1) year from date of receipt.
Specificity
The immunogen has a high degree of homology to histone H4, so the antibody primarily recognizes tetra-acetylated histone H4, secondarily recognizes tri-acetylated forms of histone H4. Faint recognition of multiply acetylated histone H2A is observed.
Applications Notes
The sequence of the immunogen from Tetrahymena hv1 has a high degree of homology to histone H4 in higher organisms. This modification is conserved from yeast to human and a wide range of reactivity is expected.
Storage Buffer
PBS, pH 7.4 with 0.05% sodium azide.
