BCL6 is a key transcriptional repressor of germinal centers and regulates multiple biological functions and lineages. It forms a complex with corepressors and histone deacetylase, directly binds to 5'-TTCCTAGAA-3', and inhibits genes involved in differentiation, inflammation, apoptosis and cell cycle control in GC B cells.
