Our Anti-RGS14 chicken monoclonal primary antibody from Aves Labs is produced in-house from hybridoma clone N133/21. It is KO validated, detects mouse and rat RGS14, and is purified by affinity chromatography. It is great for use in IHC, ICC.

Product Specifications

Background

RGS14 is a member of the RGS family (regulator of G-protein signaling) and is highly expressed in the prefrontal cortex. Hallmark domains of RGS14 include a RGS domain, two Raf-like Ras-binding domains and a GoLoco motif. RGS14 inactivates G protein α subunits. Alterations in this protein have been implicated in Schizophrenia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Storage Conditions

Aliquot and store at ≤ -20°C for long term storage. For short term storage, store at 2-8°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the vial prior to removing the cap.

Notes

This recombinant antibody is a chimeric antibody created by replacing the mouse heavy and light constant regions of clone N133/21 with chicken IgY heavy and light constant regions. As such this antibody retains the same binding performance as the original clone N133/21 but can be detected using standard anti-chicken secondary antibodies allowing flexibility for multiplexing applications. This antibody is expressed recombinantly in mammalian cells and then affinity purified from the cell culture media and conjugated.

Each new lot of antibody is quality control tested by Western blot on rat whole brain lysate and confirmed to stain the expected molecular weight band.
