Buffer B1

Buffer B1 is an optimized alkaline lysis buffer designed for rapid and complete disruption of bacterial cells following resuspension in Buffer A1. It typically contains sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), which work together to denature chromosomal and plasmid DNA, proteins, and cell wall components. The solution facilitates efficient lysis while maintaining plasmid supercoiling for high-yield recovery.
