CJ236 Chemically Competent Cells

CJ236 Chemically Competent Cells are specialized E. coli cells engineered for uracil-containing DNA template preparation used in site-directed mutagenesis and phage display applications. This dut− ung− strain allows incorporation of uracil into DNA, producing uracilated templates suitable for efficient mutagenesis using uracil-DNA glycosylase–based methods. The strain also carries F′ and thi-1 mutations for M13 propagation and plasmid maintenance. CJ236 cells provide transformation efficiencies up to 1x107 cfu/μg pUC19 DNA and are compatible with standard heat-shock protocols. Each lot is quality tested for transformation efficiency, genotype verification, and uracil incorporation capacity.
