100bp DNA Marker

The 100 bp DNA Marker is a high-performance molecular-weight standard designed for precise size-determination of DNA fragments in the ~100 bp to ~1,500 bp range. Comprising defined double-stranded DNA fragments in 100 bp increments (e.g., 100, 200, 300...1,000) plus one or two larger reference bands (often ~1,500 bp), the marker enables convenient sizing in agarose or polyacrylamide gels. Often pre-mixed with a loading dye, tubes are ready for direct gel loading. The 500 bp (and in some models 1,000 bp) band is intentionally brighter to serve as an internal reference point. Typical recommended loading is 5 μL per lane, and recovery of bands is optimized for visibility even under standard staining (ethidium bromide, GelGreen, SYBRTM) . Supplied at concentrations approximately 50 ng/μL to 100 ng/μL depending on format, the marker is stable under standard cold-storage (–20 °C) and often ambient-stable for short-term. Ideal for PCR product analysis, restriction digests, cloning-confirmations and routine gel electrophoresis quality control in molecular biology and genomics laboratories.
