MV Gel Purification Kit
The DNA Gel Purification Kit is designed for the rapid and efficient recovery of DNA fragments excised from agarose gels (e.g., TAE/TBE) or recovered from enzymatic reactions. After gel slice excision, the fragment is dissolved in a gel-dissolving buffer and applied to a high-capacity binding column or bead matrix. The bound DNA is washed to remove agarose, proteins, salts and residual dyes, then eluted in a small volume of TE or nuclease-free water. The kit supports fragment sizes typically from ~50 bp to ~10 kb (or larger depending on gel and column format), with typical recoveries of ~70-90% of input material under optimal conditions. The eluate is immediately suitable for downstream applications such as restriction digestion, ligation, cloning, PCR, sequencing or in vitro transcription. Components include gel-dissolving/binding buffer, spin-columns or beads, DNA Wash Buffer, Elution Buffer, collection tubes and a detailed user protocol. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation is required—ideal for molecular biology labs performing gel fragment recovery and DNA cloning workflows.
