Gel Extraction Kit
The Gel Extraction Kit is designed for rapid and efficient purification of DNA fragments excised from agarose gels (TAE or TBE) or recovered from enzymatic reactions. Following electrophoresis and visualization of your target band, the gel slice is dissolved in a specialized binding buffer, and the DNA fragments (typically ~50 bp to ~10 kb) are bound to a silica-membrane spin column or similar high-performance matrix. After two to three brief wash steps to remove agarose, salts, dyes and proteins, the purified DNA is eluted in a small volume of nuclease-free water or elution buffer (commonly 10-50 μL) . Typical recovery yields exceed 70–90% of the starting fragments and A260/A280 ratios >1.8 are routine. The eluate is ready for downstream applications including restriction digestion, ligation into plasmids, PCR amplification, sequencing or in vitro transcription. This kit includes spin columns (or compatible filtering matrix), collection tubes, Gel-Dissolving/Binding Buffer, DNA Wash Buffer (s), Elution Buffer and a detailed user manual. No phenol/chloroform extraction or cumbersome ethanol precipitation is required — ideal for molecular biology labs, cloning workflows, and sequencing prep where fast turnaround and high-quality DNA from gel slices are needed.
