Saliva DNA Extraction Kit

The Saliva DNA Extraction Kit is designed for efficient and non-invasive purification of high-quality genomic DNA from fresh or preserved human saliva and/or oral fluid samples. Input volumes typically range from ~200 μL to 2 mL of saliva. The workflow begins with cell lysis and protein removal, followed by selective binding of DNA to a silica-membrane or magnetic-bead matrix, rigorous washing to eliminate mucins, inhibitors and contaminants, and final elution of purified DNA in low-salt buffer or nuclease-free water. Average yields may range from ~3–20 μg DNA depending on sample volume and donor variability. The purified DNA is suitable for downstream applications including PCR, qPCR, sequencing and genotyping. The kit components include lysis/binding buffer, binding columns or beads, wash buffers, elution buffer, collection tubes and a detailed protocol. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation required — ideal for genetic, forensic, research or biobanking workflows.
