Blood Viral DNA/RNA Midi Kit

The Blood Viral DNA/RNA Midi Kit is designed for simultaneous purification of viral DNA and RNA from blood, plasma, serum or buffy-coat samples using a mid-capacity spin-column or bead format. The protocol involves lysis of viral particles and blood components, binding of nucleic acids, sequential washes to remove heme, proteins and inhibitors, and final elution of high-quality viral DNA and RNA in RNase/DNase-free buffer. Typical input volumes range from ~200 μL to ~1 mL of whole blood or ~500 μL plasma depending on variant. The purified nucleic acids are suitable for RT-PCR, qPCR, sequencing, viral quantitation and genotyping workflows that require both DNA and RNA from the same sample. Kit components include lysis buffer (with carrier RNA if required), binding matrix (columns or beads), wash buffers, elu­tion buffer, collection tubes and detailed user manual. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation steps are required—ideal for virology labs, blood-borne virus monitoring and molecular diagnostics workflows.
