Mycoplasma gDNA Kit
The Mycoplasma gDNA Kit is designed for the extraction of high-quality genomic DNA from mycoplasma species in cell culture supernatants, media or infected cells. The workflow begins with optimized lysis of mycoplasma and host matrix, followed by selective binding of mycoplasma DNA to a silica-membrane or magnetic-bead format, multiple wash steps to remove proteins and PCR-inhibitors, and final elution of purified DNA in low-salt buffer or nuclease-free water. Typical sample input is ~100 μL of supernatant or a pellet derived from ~105–107 cells; yields vary by species and culture density. The purified DNA is ready for downstream applications such as PCR, qPCR quantification, sequencing or contamination screening. The kit includes lysis buffer, binding columns (or bead modules), wash buffers, elution buffer, collection tubes and a detailed protocol. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation are required—ideal for cell-culture labs, biopharma QC, and mycoplasma-screening workflows.
