96-well Plant DNA Kit
The 96-Well Plant DNA Kit enables high-throughput isolation of genomic DNA from various plant tissues—including leaves, stems, roots, seeds or flowers—in a convenient 96-well plate format. Each well can accommodate approximately 10–50 mg fresh or equivalent dry/frozen plant material, depending on the tissue type. The workflow begins with homogenization and cell-lysis in a buffer optimized for plant-derived inhibitors (polysaccharides, polyphenols), followed by DNA binding to a 96-well binding plate or bead format, sequential wash steps to remove proteins and inhibitors, and final elution of high-quality DNA in low-salt buffer or nuclease-free water. Typical yields range from ~1–20 μg genomic DNA per well (depending on sample and species) . The purified DNA is suitable for downstream applications such as PCR, quantitative PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, sequencing and genotyping. The kit includes all necessary 96-well plates (binding, collection, and optionally homogenization or filter plates), lysis/homogenization buffer, binding reagents, wash buffers, elution buffer, adhesive/sealing films and a detailed user protocol. No hazardous phenol/chloroform extractions or ethanol precipitations are required—making this kit ideal for plant-science, genomics and large-scale screening laboratories requiring reproducible, parallel isolation of plant DNA.
