Forensic gDNA Purification Kit

The Forensic gDNA Purification Kit is engineered to extract high-quality genomic DNA from challenging forensic samples—such as dried blood stains, saliva or semen swabs, hair roots, bone or tooth fragments, cigarette butts or other trace evidence. The workflow begins with optimized lysis and protease digestion, followed by adsorption of DNA onto a high-efficiency binding matrix, rigorous washing to remove PCR inhibitors, and elution of purified DNA in a small volume. The kit is validated for low-input/low-template samples exposed to environmental stress, and is compatible with downstream applications like STR profiling, real-time PCR, sequencing and human identification. Components include lysis buffer, binding matrix (columns or beads), wash buffers designed to remove humic acids and inhibitor residues, elution buffer, and detailed user protocol.
