Fungal gDNA Kit
The Fungal gDNA Kit is optimized for efficient isolation of high-quality genomic DNA from fungal cultures, spores, mycelium, or tough tissue types rich in inhibitors (e.g., polysaccharides and phenolic compounds) . The workflow includes mechanical or enzymatic disruption (e.g., bead-beating or lyticase treatment), followed by a strong-denaturing lysis buffer, selective DNA binding to a silica-membrane spin-column (or magnetic beads), rigorous wash steps to remove inhibitors, and final elution of pure DNA in low-salt buffer or water. Typical sample input is up to ~50–100 mg wet fungal tissue (or equivalent spores/mycelium), and purified DNA is suitable for PCR, qPCR, restriction enzyme digestion, sequencing, and genotyping. The kit includes disruption bead-tubes or lysis reagents, buffer for lysis (Buffer FG1/FG2/FG3 type), binding columns (or beads), DNA Wash Buffer, Elution Buffer, optional RNase A, and detailed user protocol. No hazardous phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation is required—ideal for microbiology, fungal genetics, genomics and environmental-biology labs working with challenging fungal samples.
