Blood DNA Maxi Kit
The Blood DNA Maxi Kit is engineered for large-volume genomic DNA isolation from whole blood (e.g., 2–20 mL) or equivalent buffy coat/blood components treated with common anticoagulants. The protocol features protease digestion, efficient lysis of white blood cells, selective binding of DNA to a high-capacity column, rigorous wash steps to remove hemoglobin, proteins and enzyme-inhibiting salts, followed by elution of high-purity DNA in low-salt buffer or water. Typical yields reach several hundred micrograms of DNA (depending on leukocyte count and blood volume), with high integrity suitable for applications such as long-range PCR, sequencing, restriction digestion, and array-based genotyping. The kit includes high-capacity binding columns, lysis/neutralization buffers, binding/wash solutions, elution buffer, optional DNase-free RNase (to remove RNA if present), and a detailed user manual. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation is required—ideal for molecular biology, genomics, biobanking and large-scale sample-processing labs.
