FFPE RNA Isolation Kit
The FFPE RNA Isolation Kit is engineered to purify high-quality total RNA from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue specimens—a valuable resource for retrospective molecular research. The protocol begins with efficient tissue deparaffinization and reversal of formalin-induced cross-links, followed by proteinase K digestion, selective binding of RNA on a silica-membrane or bead-matrix, thorough wash steps, and final elution of RNA in RNase-free buffer. The kit supports extraction of RNA fragments typically ≥ ~70–200 nt (depending on tissue quality) and includes optional DNase treatment to reduce genomic DNA contamination. Purified RNA is suitable for RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, microarray, and next-generation sequencing workflows—even from archived samples. The kit components include deparaffinization buffer or solution, Proteinase K, lysis buffer, binding columns or beads, wash buffers, optional DNase reagent, elution buffer, collection tubes, and a detailed user protocol. Ideal for molecular biology, pathology-research and genomics labs working with archived FFPE specimens.
