RNAsecure Solution

RNAsecure Solution is a non-enzymatic reagent formulated to irreversibly inactivate RNases in aqueous solutions, ensuring RNA integrity during isolation and handling. It eliminates the need for DEPC treatment or autoclaving and is fully compatible with sensitive downstream applications such as RT-PCR, in vitro transcription, and RNA sequencing. Supplied as a concentrated stock, the reagent is added directly to the solution to be treated and then heated (typically at 60 °C for about 10 minutes) to inactivate RNases. Re-heating can further eliminate any newly introduced RNase contamination. It is effective in buffers where DEPC cannot be used (e.g., Tris or other amine-containing solutions) and does not inhibit enzymatic reactions when used properly. The reagent should be stored at –20 °C and is ideal for molecular biology workflows requiring robust RNA protection without hazardous chemicals or lengthy treatment steps.
