Yeast RNA Kit
The Yeast RNA Kit provides a streamlined, high-efficiency workflow for isolating total RNA from yeast cultures (e.g., ~1–5 x 107 cells from ~1–1.5 mL culture) including species such as *Saccharomyces cerevisiae, *Schizosaccharomyces pombe, *Candida albicans and other fungi. Cell wall disruption is achieved either enzymatically (e.g., zymolyase) or mechanically (bead beating) depending on configuration, followed by binding of RNA to a spin-column or filter plate, wash steps to remove proteins, DNA and inhibitors, and elution of high-quality RNA. Typical yields reach ~10–30 μg per prep with A260/A280 and A260/A230 ratios > 1.8, suitable for RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, microarray, northern blotting or RNA-seq workflows. The kit includes disruption reagents (lyticase or beads), lysis buffer, binding/wash buffers, RNase-free elution buffer, optional DNase I treatment, columns or filter plate and detailed protocol. No phenol/chloroform extraction required. Ideal for yeast genetics, transcriptomics and fungal biology labs.
