Bacterial RNA Kit

The Bacterial RNA Kit provides a fast and reliable method for isolation of high-quality total RNA from both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacterial cultures (up to ~1 x 109 cells or ~2-3 mL log-phase culture) . The protocol features enhanced lysis (chemical and/or enzymatic) optimized for robust cell walls, followed by binding to a silica-based spin-column or magnetic-bead format, multiple wash steps to remove contaminants (proteins, DNA, cell debris), and elution of RNA ready for downstream uses such as RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, microarray and RNA-seq. Typical yield can reach tens of micrograms of total RNA depending on species and culture density. The kit includes lysis buffer, binding/wash/elution reagents, DNase optional treatment (to minimize genomic DNA), spin-columns (or beads) and detailed protocol. Ideal for microbiology, molecular biology and transcriptomics labs working with bacterial gene expression and RNA analysis.
