Plant RNA Maxi Kit

The Plant RNA Maxi Kit is designed for high-capacity isolation of total RNA from large quantities of plant tissue or fungal biomass (e.g., ~200–500 mg fresh plant material or >107 cells) . The kit employs rapid denaturing and homogenization in liquid nitrogen followed by filtration/clarification, then binding of RNA to a maxi-spin column or high-capacity matrix (up to ~600 μg total RNA) with optimized wash steps to remove polysaccharides, polyphenols and other plant-derived inhibitors. The purified RNA is high-quality (A260/A280 ~1.9–2.1), free of phenol/chloroform, and ready for demanding downstream applications such as RT-PCR, qPCR, microarray analysis or RNA-seq library preparation. The workflow completes in approximately 45–60 minutes. Kit includes high-capacity spin columns, lysis buffer, wash buffers, RNase-free elution buffer and detailed user protocol.
