Plant RNA Mini Kit

The Plant RNA Mini Kit provides a streamlined, efficient method for isolating high-quality total RNA from a wide variety of plant tissues (typically 10-100 mg fresh sample) or fungal cultures. The workflow incorporates rapid lysis in a guanidine-based buffer, thorough homogenization (e.g., grinding in liquid nitrogen), followed by binding to a silica-membrane spin-column format. Impurities such as polysaccharides and polyphenols are removed, and the purified RNA is ready for downstream applications including RT-PCR, qRT-PCR, Northern blotting, microarray and RNA-seq. Typical yields range from ~25-65 μg RNA per 100 mg plant tissue depending on species and tissue type. The kit includes spin-columns, collection tubes, lysis and wash buffers, RNase-free water, and a detailed user protocol. No phenol/chloroform extraction or time-consuming precipitation steps are required. Ideal for molecular biology, genomics and plant-science labs where speed, purity and reproducibility are critical.
