Blood RNA Midi Kit

The Blood RNA Midi Kit is designed for efficient isolation of total cellular RNA from moderate volumes of whole blood (typically 0.4–1.3 mL) stabilized with common anticoagulants such as EDTA, citrate, or heparin. Using a silica-membrane spin-column format, the kit features rapid blood lysis at room temperature and optional on-column DNase treatment to minimize genomic DNA contamination. Typical yields range from 4–26 μg RNA per 1.3 mL blood, with A260/A280 ratios of 1.9–2.1. The kit includes lysis buffer, RNA binding columns, wash buffers, DNase solution, RNase-free water, and a detailed user manual. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation is required. The purified RNA is ideal for downstream applications such as RT-qPCR, RNA-seq library preparation, microarray analysis, and gene-expression profiling from blood samples.
