Tissue RNA Midi Kit

The Tissue RNA Midi Kit is designed for the efficient isolation of high-quality total RNA from moderate amounts of tissue (typically ~20–250 mg) or up to ~107 cultured cells. Leveraging a silica-membrane purification approach, the workflow begins with rapid lysis and homogenization in a guanidine-based denaturing buffer to immediately inactivate RNases, followed by binding of RNA to the membrane, wash steps to remove proteins, DNA and other contaminants, and final elution in RNase-free water. Typical binding capacity is up to ~1 mg of RNA per column, making it ideal for gene-expression profiling, RT-qPCR, microarray analysis or next-generation sequencing workflows. The kit includes: Midi-spin columns, collection tubes, Buffer RLT (lysis), Buffer RW1 (wash), Buffer RPE (second wash), RNase-free water, and detailed user manual. No phenol/chloroform extraction or ethanol precipitation required.
