Yeast Plasmid Kit

The Yeast Plasmid Kit is designed for rapid, reliable isolation of high-quality plasmid DNA from yeast cultures. It combines glass-bead + lyticase mediated cell disruption with alkaline-SDS lysis and spin-column purification (ezBindTM silica-matrix) to deliver DNA ready for PCR, restriction digestion or Southern blot in under 1 hour. Typical yield from a 1–5 mL high‐copy yeast culture is ~1 μg—actual yields depend on copy number, strain and growth conditions. The mini-column supports binding up to ~40 μg DNA. All reagents are supplied: Buffer YPI, YPII, YPIII, SE, KB, DNA Wash Buffer, Glass beads, Lyticase solution, RNase A, Elution Buffer, and ezBindTM DNA mini columns, along with a detailed protocol. No guanidine salts or ion-exchange resins are required, resulting in clean DNA and simplified disposal. Ideal for yeast‐based cloning and plasmid screening workflows in molecular biology labs.
