BAC/PAC Isolation Kit

The BAC/PAC Isolation Kit from BioMiga is designed for efficient purification of large-insert vectors — including BACs, PACs, cosmids and P1 clones — from small bacterial culture volumes (e.g., 1–5 mL) . The kit is built around a modified alkaline-lysis procedure and a silica-based ezBindTM spin-column format, delivering high-capacity DNA binding (~1–4 μg typical from 1–5 mL culture) and high-purity output. Two protocols are provided: one optimized for BAC/PAC/low-copy vectors, and one for high-copy plasmids. The system uses no hazardous guanidine salts or resin-exchange residues, yielding DNA well suited for demanding downstream applications such as sequencing, library screening, sub-clone generation and vector construction. Included are binding/wash/elution buffers, Linear Polyacrylamide (for low-copy recovery), RNase A, ezBindTM columns, and a detailed user manual. Ideal for molecular biology and genomics labs handling large‐scale inserts.
